Annona tree - How to grow & care

A tree ripened Rollinia is so delicious. A tropical Annona species from Central America. Grows very well in the Subtropics. This 5 year old seedling tree is in our Biodome and is fruiting for the first time. Would love to hear from anyone that is fruiting it in cooler areas. Growing them in a Polyhouse maybe worth a try to fruit this delicious Custard Apple outside its ideal climate. #rollinia #annonaceae #custardapples #tropicalfruittrees | Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery

The three main relatives of soursop in the Annona family are: 1. Cherimoya (Annona cherimola) – creamy, custard-like texture, often called the “custard apple” in some regions. 2. Sugar Apple (Sweetsop) (Annona squamosa) – segmented, sweet, and grainy flesh. 3. Custard Apple / Bullock’s Heart (Annona reticulata) – softer, reddish flesh, less popular but still cultivated.👉 The atemoya is also important, but it’s technically a hybrid (cherimoya × sugar apple), not considered one of the three “main

The sugar apple or sweetsop is the edible fruit of Annona squamosa, the most widely grown species of Annona and a native of tropical climate in the Americas and West Indies. Spanish traders aboard the Manila galleons docking in the Philippines brought it to Asia. #atis #sugarapple | PEPAY

Cor

Annona Spinescens: The Oily Pumpkin Candy Tree! If you live in a mild winter area (looking at you, Southern California!), you absolutely need the Annona spinescens in your life! This is a super cool, wildly ornamental tree that stays compact enough for containers or looks incredible in the ground. I'm showcasing my very first fruit—a bright, orange-skinned mystery said to taste like oily pumpkin candy 🎃🍬. I hand-pollinated this one with a cocktail of every Annona pollen I had to secure this fr

This is the Annona reticulata—the true custard apple. It’s a heavy producer with a flavor that puts modern desserts to shame. We’re working hard to propagate and distribute these trees because a fruit this wonderful shouldn't be a thing of the past. Message us to get a San Pablo for your grove and help us preserve this incredible species! 🌳✨ #FruitTreeNursery #SanPabloCustardApple #TrueCustardApple #TropicalGarden #FloridaFruit

Simon & Tina | Fruit & Vegan Travel on Instagram: "We named our daughter ‘Nona’ after this fruit family cause it's so delicious!👼 When we were travelling in the remote Borneo jungles a few years ago, we stopped at an old lady selling Rollinia fruits at a roadside stall. She called them Nona fruits. It was an abbreviation of the fruit family Annona which has some of the best tasting fruits on the planet💯Save and Share this reel with someone whohas never seen this before! #fruit #rawvegan #healt
